Crafty Kids: Dinosaur Hat
We just love the simplicity of the DIY project. Kids will have dino-sized fun playing pretend after making their own dinosaur hat!
Supplies: green construction paper, scissors, glue and/or tape, clothespins or paper clips,
Step 1: Cut strips of paper and tape or glue them together. This will make the long tail part of the hat. If using glue, you can use clothespins to hold in place until dry.
Step 2: Measure paper to go around the child’s head and tape or glue together.
Step 3: Draw and cut out the scales for the hat using the example above for a template.
Step 4: Attach the scales to the long strip of paper by gluing the scales to each other at the top and attaching with a clothespin or paper clip to dry. Add the long strip tale and the circular hat to finish off the dinosaur. This was such a hit!! Great fun and minimal time involved.
