Is magnetism a source of green energy? Sort of. Magnetism by itself may not provide a new source of green energy. However, it’s clear that it could play a big role in lowering costs and improving efficiency for a number of renewable energy sources. Looking for a fun after school craft or rainy day project? Have some fun with exploring the cool properties of magnets!
- Empty 2 liter bottle
- Pipe cleaners
- Strong magnet
1.) Cut pipe cleaners into smaller pieces (thirds worked best).
2.) Put the pipe cleaner pieces in the bottle.
3.) Use your magnet to manipulate the pipe cleaners. The kids all had fun moving them around in the bottle!
