both my children did the activities and they did NOT want my involvement as they felt empowered to do it themselves.
Unique ideas we typically don’t do – not your average crafts
Overall this is totally worth the investment because they are always different and unique so I think it is a great value!

loved it and we had a lot of un using it
Very kid-friendly. My daughter was able to do the projects with no help from me and she really enjoyed doing it.
The bird puppets were fun and easy enough for my 4 year old son to do.
Like the creative ideas. Finished products are great.

My girls loved this birdie themed box. Dad helped them with the window clings when I was not home and they had fun and were very excited to show me the finished art. We made the bird puppets together and my 4 year old did the spotted owl on her own based on the picture guide. I had to help my almost 3 year old with the glue dots and proper placement of the bird features for the crane but they were both happy in the end and proud of their puppets. The bird seed project was fun too although I did all the cooking I let them pour in the ingredients and of course pick the perfect place to hang our bird feeders! Overall a great set of activities!
The window clings were fun and I liked how they protect birds from crashing into our windows.

We have loved all of our Discovery boxes to date, but not this one! I’m so disappointed that gelatine was included in the bird feeder projects. We are vegetarians and do not use gelatine in our house so we couldn’t do this project.

These were great projects for my 3.5 year olds to do. They loved the bird puppets and that lead to a conversation about “keeping forests for animals to live in.” The window clings were fun and worked! The kids were so proud to make their own window clings, too. We are saving the bird seed project until it gets a bit cooler and the birds don’t have as many food options. My kids also liked learning What animals qualify as a bird, which is included in the enclosed card. I ranked this as four star because we did not received the paint you bird feeder in our kit, although it is shown here. We did received our kit as part of a subscription program. If all projects shown were included I would have rated this five stars. Most of the project in this kit could be completed by my 3.5 year olds with a little assistance. I think an average 5 year old could do them mostly unassisted.
