Try this non-traditional erupting apple volcano that brings apples and science together in an APPLE-CANO experiment! Fall is an excellent time of the year to put a little twist on classic science experiments. You could also try this with pumpkins.
Ingredients:
- Baking Soda
- Vinegar
- One medium to large Apple
- Large Pie plate/dish (to help capture volcano overflow)
Directions:
Step 1: Core out the apple so as to leave a bottom. Do not core all the way through.
Step 2: Fill the core of the apple with baking soda about halfway full.
Step 3: Pour in the vinegar and see how the apple becomes a volcano!
