Experience the magic of baking soda and vinegar while blowing up balloons in this simple STEM science experiment.

Supplies: Balloon; empty water bottle; baking soda; vinegar; funnel

Step 1: Fill the bottle 1/3 with vinegar.

Step 2: Fill the balloon about 1/2 full of baking soda.

Step 3: Attach the balloon to the top of bottle. Be careful not to let the baking soda fall in yet. Once it is in place, lift the balloon up so baking sodas will fall in.

Step 4: Now the fun begins!!! The vinegar and baking soda have a wonderful reaction that blows up the balloon. We had a lot of screams and laughter!!
