DIY Craft for Kids: Marshmallow Heart Structure
This Valentine’s holiday, construct a marshmallow heart structure using fun marshmallows and toothpicks, and you have a simple activity to foster your child’s imagination. This is a great activity for the kids to do while you prepare dinner! It will help foster their imagination and even improve their engineering skills!
Supplies
Toothpicks (or longer sticks will work too)
InstructionsÂ
Simply use the marshmallows and toothpicks to make your masterpiece. How many can be connected? What kind of shapes can it take on? Get creative!Â
We noticed the marshmallow hearts can get heavy to make a very tall structure, so focusing on horizontal shapes worked best. Try it out with a triangle – a rectangle – or even a heart!Â
I even let him steal a marshmallow at the end 😉Â
