Outer Space Crafts for Kids
Aluminum foil transforms paper plates into a wild and wacky spaceship!
Supplies: Two paper plates, peach, orange, green, light blue, and black paint, silver glitter, orange and green pipe cleaners, aluminum foil, marker, scissors, and paintbrushes.
Step 1: Paint the inside of one paper plate black.
Step 2: Cut center out of other paper plates.
Step 3: Cut two circles and one oval out of the centerpiece of the paper plate.
Step 4: Paint the oval green for the alien head; paint one circle orange or peach for the planet; paint the other circle blue for the additional planet.
Step 5: Add glitter to the black part of the paper plate. You can use glitter glue or regular glue painted on and sprinkled with glitter.
Step 6: Cut and use orange pipe cleaner around the orange planet as the ring.
Step 7: Glue alien head into space ship and use same green painting to paint the body. Cut and use green pipe cleaner for the arm and antenna on the alien. Add a face to the alien.
Step 8: Glue the planets into a space ship.
Step 9: Wrap ring piece from the plate with aluminum foil and staple to the decorated plate.
