Valentine’s Day Volcano Science Experiment and Friendship Valentines
This Valentine’s Day, if you are looking for an idea to keep candy at a minimum, try this volcano science experiment and valentine craft! Make homemade valentines to pass out and conduct your own erupting volcano at home!
Supplies

Baking soda
Distilled Vinegar
Small Ziploc bags
Red food coloring
Valentine confetti
Stapler
Instructions for Valentines
Pour a bit of baking soda and valentine confetti into each small bag.
Print and cut out the Valentine cards. Then use a stapler to staple the cards to small bags. Optional: You may include instructions on how to conduct the experiment.
Instructions for Volcano Experiment
Pour baking soda and confetti into a container.
Add red food coloring to a bit of distilled vinegar.
Then, watch as your experiment “explodes” when you add the vinegar to baking soda!
My young child had a lot of fun watching this experiment over and over. His favorite part was watching the container overflow, of course!
