DIY Constellation Projector
One of the biggest fascinations in our household is Space! Seeing planets and of course stars and constellations in the sky is such a thrill among us all. Getting to create our own was just as neat!
Supplies
- Printable constellation cards: https://playgroundparkbench.com/product/printable-constellation-projection-cards/
- Light source: flashlight, cell phone
- Push pins
- Toilet paper roll
- Tape
- Scissors
Instructions
Print out constellation cards.
Use push pins to poke holes in the circles of the constellations.
Tape each constellation card to the end of the toilet paper roll.
Find the darkest room you have. You want to have a concentrated light.
Put flashlight/cell phone light to open end of toilet paper roll. You should see the constellation of stars on the wall!
Also included with the constellation cards are blank ones to create your own.
For kids who may not get to stay up late enough to see the dark sky at night , this is the perfect activity to learn and see constellations!
