pumpkin slime activity for kids

How to Make Pumpkin Slime

If you aren’t a fan of pumpkin seeds and generally throw the insides of a pumpkin away, stop! Use the insides to make pumpkin slime that is sure to be gross and fun in time for the spooky holiday.  Carving pumpkins is a yearly family activity so it was neat to extend that activity with other fun using supplies we had on hand.

Supplies

  • Pumpkin
  • 2 bottles of clear Elmer’s glue
  • Liquid starch
  • Knife (to cut the top of the pumpkin)
  • Gloves (optional)

This is a great activity for a sensory play inspired by Halloween. Kids can dissect the pumpkin, exploring the different parts and smells.
