DIY Kid’s Music Wall
Building a kid’s music wall is an amazing way for kids to both explore sound and get involved in a simple construction project!
Supplies:
Pots and pans, buckets, chopsticks/wooden spoons/skewers, pvc pipes, twine/rope, nails and hammer. Also, something to make the wall. We used an old headboard. Other ideas include using old fencing, a pallet, or random pieces of wood. This project requires adult supervision and help!
Step one: Cut pvc pipe to differing lengths, drills holes into them, and secure with twine.
Step two: Nail different pots and pans to music wall. Also, add the pvc pipe.
Step three: Either lean your music wall against the wall or secure it.
Step four: Put the bucket in front of the wall as your drum.
We have done many projects for Green Kid Crafts and this kid’s music wall was our favorite! The kids loved the different sounds they could make and it allowed them to work as a team. I believe we have the beginnings of a band!
