Spinning 3D Hot Air Balloon Craft
Put the “E” in S.T.E.A.M and engineer your own hot air balloon! My kids are just amazed by hot air balloons. Now is the time when we start to see a lot of them with the good weather! They were excited when I mentioned making some of our own that we could hang up and spin around! Also, who doesn’t love the movie UP? Balloons galore!
Supplies
> Glue
> Tape
> Toilet paper roll
> Scissors
> String/twine
> Colorful paper (we used construction)
Template for balloons (or you can make your own, we got this one for $1.50)
Instructions
Cut out balloon shapes as equally as you can. Fold them in half.
Next, you will want to glue the pieces together.
I had my two-year-old decorate our “basket” with stickers.
We cut it in half and added string on the inside of the basket to be able to tape it to the balloon.
We also added string to the top and taped it in such a way that it had a loop- so we could hang it outside.
With the slight breeze, we do have today, we’re excited to watch it spin!
